Overview

Acta, Inc. (“Acta,” “we,” “us”) builds AI-native meeting intelligence software. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website and product, how we use it, and the choices available to you. It applies to visitors of acta.ai and to customers using the Acta application.

By using Acta, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.

Information we collect

We collect information in three ways:

Account information you provide directly — name, work email, company, and password when you sign up.

Meeting content generated when you use Acta to join or record a call — audio, video (if enabled), transcripts, and the summaries, decisions, and action items our AI extracts from them.

Usage and device data collected automatically — pages visited, features used, browser type, and IP address, via cookies and similar technologies.

How we use information

We use information to operate and improve Acta: to generate summaries, decisions, and action items from your meetings; to route that output to the integrations you’ve connected (such as Slack, Notion, HubSpot, or Jira); to provide customer support; to secure the platform against abuse; and to communicate service updates. We do not sell your personal information or your meeting content to third parties.

Meeting recordings & transcripts

When you use Acta to record or transcribe a meeting, you’re responsible for obtaining any consent required from other participants under the laws that apply to your call — including two- party consent requirements in some jurisdictions. Acta displays a recording indicator to participants where technically supported.

Meeting content is processed by our AI models to produce transcripts, summaries, and action items. It is encrypted in transit and at rest, and is only accessible to your workspace and the team members you grant access to.
